Web Design Competition

100% of the proceeds of this competition will go to animal rescue.

Each school may enter two web design teams consisting of a maximum of two students per team. Each team must plan, design, and publish a website adhering to the competition topic and guidelines. Each member of the first place team will receive a $200 Best Buy gift card, and a certificate recognizing their accomplishment. Each member of the second place team will receive a $100 Best Buy gift card and a certificate recognizing their accomplishment. Each member of the third place team will receive a certificate recognizing their achievement in the competition.

There is an entry fee assessed per team which must be received with the team's registration form.

$20 if registratin is post marked by November 14, 2014.
$25 if registration is post marked by February 2, 2015.
$35 if registration is post marked by March 6, 2015.

Competition websites must include the IE Class logo with a link back to the IE Class website (http://www.ieclass.com). The team must determine how to best incorporate the logo with the link back to the IE Class website in an innovative and creative way. Websites without the logo and link will receive a 5 point deduction. Permission is automatically granted to teams for use of our logo on their competition site, therefore proof of permission does not need to be indicated on the site for this image.

Streets to Homes Pet Rescue is a non for profit organization that rescues dogs and cats and locates suitable foster and forever homes for them. The majority of the rescued pets the organization takes in are from puppy mills, strays, and abandoned pets. Prior to placing a pet in a forever home, the pets are placed in foster homes where the pets are treated for any necessary medical issues and evaluated for any family integration issues. The organization is constantly looking for potential foster families, adoption families, and donations from corporate sponsors to support their ever expanding vet expenses. They also conduct various fundraising efforts to raise funds to help offset their operating and vet expenses.

Streets to Homes Pet Rescue has contacted you to design them a website so they can publicize the pets that are available for adoption, as well as to promote the importance of animal rescue, recruit potential foster and adoption families, and to promote their fundraising efforts. They also do not currently have a logo and would like for you do design one and include it on their website.
